可数名词的复数形式
名词按其所表示的事物的性质分为可数名词与不可数名词，然而可数名词又分为单数和复数两种形式，名词复数构成形式的部分规则如下：
一．规则变化：
1.cake --- cakes day --- days student ---- students
总结：一般情况，直接加 –s
例题：apple book
pen cup
2.bus – buses box – boxes watch – watches wish – wishes
总结：以-s, -x, -sh, -ch等结尾的词，加es.
例题：glass match
dish brush
3.baby – babies city – cities country – countries
总结：以辅音字母加y结尾的词，把y改i, 再加—es.
例题：lady dictionary
4.toy – toys monkey – monkeys
总结：以元音字母加y 结尾的词，直接加s.
例题：key boy
5.leaf – leaves wolf – wolves belief – beliefs
总结：1) 以f或fe 结尾的词,变f(fe) 为ves.
一个贼 (thief)的妻子(wife)冒着生命(life)危险用半(half)片树叶(leaf)似的小刀(knife)杀死了一只狼(wolf)
例题：thief wife
life half
knife wolf
2) 但有些直接加s
belief roof
proof chief
6.face – faces orange – oranges price – prices
总结：以ce, se, ze, (d)ge等结尾的词，加s。
例题：science language
bridge
7.Negro – Negroes hero – heroes
总结: 1）以o结尾的名词，有些词在词尾加上-es，
简单记忆：黑人英雄爱吃土豆和西红柿。
Negro(黑人) hero

2）以元音字母加-o结尾的词，以及某些外来词加-s, s读作/z/。 zoo photo

不规则变化
1.某国人变复数
a Chinese a Japanese
an Englishman a Frenchman
总结：中日不变英法变，其余s加后面。
2.有些单词是单复数同行
fish sheep
deer
3.(1) 变元音字母：
man –men woman ---- women child—children
foot--- feet tooth---teeth
(2) 其他形式：mouse---mice child – children
口诀：男孩女孩们的脚踩住老鼠的牙.
4.复合n.前面的n.是man、woman变复数时，构成复合名词的两个名词全都要变成复数形式，如果时其他词，变复数时只需要把后面的名词变成复数形式。
man teacher--- men teachers
woman teacher---women teachers
boy student ---- boy students

不可数名词
不可数名词是表示无法用数目计算，无一完整结构及无生命的一类名词。
如：ice, milk, water等，不可数名词无复数形式。一般表示某一类事物时，不可数名词可直接用于句中。
如：She eats ice cream, salad and bread every day.
如何分辨可数名词和不可数名词：
可数不可数好分辨，名词所示物分两半。
如每半不能叫原名，那该词可数最公平。
每半还能把原名叫，不可数名词就遇到。
有的名词是两面堵，意变不可数为可数。
如： bike(自行车)， 如果把一辆自行车分两半，每半只能叫自行车的一部分，不能再叫自行车，所以bike是可数名词。
water(水)， 如果把一杯水分成两杯装，每杯水仍可叫水，因此water 是不可数名词。
orange(橘汁)，如果把一瓶橘汁分成两瓶，每瓶还可以叫橘汁，故orange(橘汁radio的复数形式)为不可数名词，但意为“橘子”时，是可数名词。
