My grandparents' house is in Rosewood and they have a small house with a lovely garden." After we got ready, Dad drove us there. When we arrived, my grandma was so surprised and happy. She gave me a big hug. "Won't you introduce me to your friends?,, said Grandma.
My friends were introduced and Grandma gave them each a warm hug. Dad stayed for a while and left for his own work. Then we enjoyed talking and playing in the garden. Lunch was served.
Grandma prepared a tasty meal of vegetable soup, chicken sandwiches and strawberry ice cream fbr us. After lunch, we sat in the garden in a semicircle facing Grandma, and listened to her telling interesting stories. We were interrupted(打断)by a sudden and urgent knock o
n the door. I jumped up to open the door. It was Janet, Grandma's neighbor.

I'm a Registered Occupational Therapist. I help people regain their independence after an accident or a serious illness. I work with adults, mainly to help them regain their ability to independently perform the normal activities of daily living. I visit them in their homes as this is the most suitable place to practice dressing, bathing, eating, housework, etc.
One day, I was asked to visit a new patient. I was surprised to learn that he was in his late 20s, since most of the people I had seen were middle- aged. I was even more surprised to find out his injury was job-related. I was greeted at the door by a friendly, confident ma
n who lost his right forearm. I did my evaluation to find out what he could and couldn't do with only his left hand. He wanted to know how to shower one-handed and still wash his remaining arm. He had questions about cutting his food when he couldn't hold a fork. Both of these require adapted equipment, a bath brush for e first and a special knife for the second.
He and his wife were happy to learn that it was that easy. I was happy for him. Among the many things that can't be done one-handed, tying bows (蝴蝶结)stands out as the most common. In the days before Velcro shoe fasteners(魔术鞋贝占),there were six types of adapted equipment tightening your shoes. Most were strange to use and needed a two-handed person to set [hem up first. So when we got to dressing, I was prepared for the usual dissatisfaction at needing someone else to tie his shoes. To my surprise, he announced that he could tie bows one-handed. I couldn't tie bows one-handed, and I'd been an Occupational Therapist for 10 years. I didn't know a man without a normal right arm who knew how to tie bows onc-handcd.
Paragraph 1:
So of course I asked for a demonstration.
Paragraph 2:
Then / learned how to tie bows one-handed from the couple.
