1. ACD-ROM is a separate disk that contains lots of information.

contain是及物动词，后跟名词作宾语，意为包含，包括
1) The box contains ten bottles.
这个箱子装有十个瓶子。
2) Beer contains alcohol.
啤酒中含有酒精。
近义词区别: contain & include
1) contain 通常用来指某种容器中盛有某物，装有某物，还指某种物质中含有某成分或含有其他物质。
Green vegetables often contain vitamins.
绿蔬菜通常含有丰富的维生素。
The can contains milk.
这只罐子里装的是牛奶。
2) include 通常表示把事物作为其中的一部分包括在内，被包括的是整体中的一部分。
The price includes postage charges.
价格包括邮资在内。
Their names are included in the list.

仍需注意的是include 的另一种形式: including (介词)
eg. There are eight people，including three women.
这里有8个人，其中包括3个女的。
More than one thousand students have been admitted to this school，including my brother.

2. The Internet is the biggest source of information in the world，and it' s accessible through a computer.
网络是世界上最大的信息来源，通过电脑就可以得到。
1) source是名词，后常跟介词of，表示“…的来源，根源”，或“水的源头，河的起源地”。
eg. (1) Have you got any other source of income apart from your job?
除了工作收入之外，你还有其他的经济来源吗?
(2) Please help me find the source of the engine trouble.
请帮我查发动机故障的根源在哪里。
(3) Where is the source of the River Thames?
泰晤士河的源头在哪里?
2) accessible形容词，“易得到的，易接近的，可进入的”。
eg. The island is accessible only by boat.
access 是名词，表示“进入…之路，通道，入口”，后常接介词“to”还可以表示“使用或进入…的方法，权利”。
eg. (1) The only access to the building is along a muddy track.
去那幢楼房的唯一途径是一条泥泞小路。
(2) Students need easy access to books.
学生需要有借书的便利途径。
3. They created a network of computers called DARPANET.
他们发明了一个叫DARPANET的电脑网络。
create v. 发明，创造
All men are created equal.
Shakespeare created many famous charactors.
疑难辨析：
create / invent
1) create指产生新的东西(精神上的，如艺术，文学作品中人物或新科学领域等)
The idea that God created the world is wrong.
2) invent指产生前所未有的东西(具体物品)
