To get chatting you need to:
Download QQ
Install QQ
Register for QQ
Important notice:
If you are already a QQ member, but want to upgrade to the latest version of QQ with              improved Voice Chat, you will need to uninstall your old version and then download the new version of QQ.
•To check which QQ version you currently have:
•click on the Menu option on the QQ control panel
•select Help
•click on About.
If the screen mentions the "GIPS voice engine" you have the latest version.
•To uninstall your previous version of QQ:
Go to your Start menu on your computer, select Program files, select QQ and then choose Uninstall from the menu.
Download QQ
1.Accept the terms and conditions of use.
2.Click on the “Download QQ” button.
3.Your computer may give you a file download security warning.
If it does click the "save" button.
4.You will be asked where you would like to save the
We recommend that you save it to your PC desktop.
5.Once the download is finished, stay connected to the Internet, but you can close or minimise
Internet Explorer.
6.Look on your desktop for the QQ program icon (called QQ.EXE) and double-click on it.
7.Again your computer may have an “open file security warning” on it. If it does, simply click on
the "run” button.
Install QQ
1.Simply follow the prompts on the screen to complete the installation.
2.When the installation is complete, the program will automatically ask you to register for QQ. Register for QQ
1.If you've never used QQ before,
select "Register new QQ No." and click "next"
Enter your details.
2.Choose yourself a nick-name (this is the name other QQ user’s will know you as) an icon (or
register forpicture) and a password. Then enter your e-mail address. All other details are optional.
3.The Share Info check box lets you decide how much personal information you want to share
with other QQ users. The default setting is "Public" but we recommend that you change it to "Private" to keep your contact information private.
4.The setup program will automatically detect which Network settings you should use. (Generally
home users are on dial up.)
5.When you have filled in all your details, QQ will give you a unique QQ number and the QQ
control panel will appear on your screen.
6.You are ready to start chatting!
