1.distance
n．距离，间距
The beach is within walking distance of my house.
海滩离我家不远，走几步就到了。
n.冷淡,疏远
Her father advised her to keep her distance from that fellow.

at/from a distance  从远方，从远处

2.expert
expert作为可数名词意为“专家，能手”
expert还可以作形容词，意为“熟练的，有经验的”，常与介词in/at/on连用

journey“旅程，旅行”，尤指长途旅行，是可数名词，常与动词make/have连用

survive  vi./vt. 幸存；活下来
Only one suevived the car accident.

21.fit
adj. 健康的，强壮的

adj. 适合的，恰当的
After the interview, the boss said that she was fit for the job.

vt./vi. （形状、尺寸等）合适，合身
I tried the dress on but it didn’t fit.
