一、教学目标
知识目标:
巩固本课重点句,复习形容词的比较级和最高级;
能够正确理解、朗读故事,并能回答文中问题;
能熟练朗读文中两个语篇;
二、教学重难点
故事中呈现的功能句的实际应用
正确理解比较级和最高级的使用
三、教具准备
多媒体课件、磁带、录音机,、挂图
四、教学过程
1) How tall/ heavy is he?
2) Who is taller, John or Mary?
3) Who/Which is the tallest?
2. Dictation.
1. T: you have known your weight and height.
Can you guess Ann, ken and mocky’s weight and height?
(Ss guess) After this class, you will know it.
2. T shows the pictures of the text. T asks some questions to deal with or review some new words.
(1) Where are they? (town center)
(2) What’s this? (scale)
(3) What did they do on that day? ( checked their weight and height.)
3. Ss listen to the story twice. Then answer the questions.
(1) How tall are they?
(2) How much do they weigh?
4. Ss answer the questions and T writes the key in the chart.
5. T: (1) Who is taller/heavier?
______ is taller/heavier than ______.
(2) Who is the tallest/ heaviest?
______ is tallest/ heaviest than _____.
Ss discuss how many keys it has in their groups.
6. Ss read the story in different way.
7. T tells the story slowly and Ss listen. Then ask a question: Why is Ann heavier than Ken?
8. Ss match between the sentences and the pictures.
Then check the key and student follow to read.
9. Ss underline the key sentences and read them loudly.
1. Recite the text.
2. Read the paragraphs fluently.
