摘要： A support (10) for heavy patient is mounted on a base (11) using strips (26) of load cells forming the transducer of a weighing scale of a patient. Each load cell (20) has a cup (35), a ball (40) and an inverted cup (35) constituting the only patient support means. Thus, only the vertical components of force created by the weight are measured, and the lateral movement of the patient support relative to the bed is minimized.
