摘要：#$%^&*AU2015100448A420150514.pdf> ABSTRACT An apparatus that can kill ticks embedded into human hosts, without disturbing the parasite, is described. The equipment is a pressurized canister, containing chemical such as diethyl ether and propellant gases. As the pressure is released, the expelled product falls to temperature that rapidly freezes the embedded tick. The canister nozzle or valve, includes a piece of equipment to direct the expelled contents accurately onto the embedded tick so that nothing but the freezing chemicals touch the tick. This is important feature, as disturbing (by touching or squashing) an embedded tick while it is alive can encourage injection of toxic elements into human hosts blood stream. Instant tick death by freezing minimises: * the opportunity for the tick to disgorge its noxious contents; and, * harm to people bitten by ticks.
