摘要：PURPOSE:To provide an article transporting apparatus, in which an auxiliary pulley for urging the drive surface of one transport belt onto the drive surface of the other transport belt is provided on the inside of a couple of inlet pulleys, whereby it is enabled to carry the article at a speed substantially equal to that at the pitch lines of the belts. CONSTITUTION:Arm 20 is provided with auxiliary pulley 22 for urging the drive surface of transport belt 12 onto the drive surface of the other transport belt 11. At the time when article W to be transported is inserted between the two transport belts 11 and 12, speed of the article W is higher than that at pitch lines PL of belts 11, 12. However, when article W passes through auxiliary pulley 22 and intermediate pulley 17, auxiliary pulley 22 is raised against the force of spring 27, to such an extent that belt 12 becomes substantially straight on both sides of auxiliary pulley 22. Therefore, article W can be transported at the same speed with that at the pitch line PL of belt 12.
