The NATIONAL KEY CULTURAL RELIC PROTECTION UNIT "JIANGNAN FIRST",ALSO KNOWN AS ZHENG YI GATE,IS LOCATED IN ZHENGZHAI TOWN,PUJIANG COUNTY,ZHEJIANG PROVINCE,COVERING AN AREA OF ABOUT 6,600 SQUARE meters,IS RENOWNED AT HOME AND ABROAD AS AN IMPORTANT site OF ANCIENT CHENGXIA FAMILY CULTURE.The Zheng family,who lived here,lived together for more than 330 years during the 15th dynasties of Song,Yuan and Ming dynasties.They were famous as dutiful servants in the world.At their peak, more than 3,000 people shared a pot of rice. In 1385,Zhu Yuanzhang,Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty,bestowed it as"the first family in South China".
The extant"first houses in South China"mainly include Zheng's ancestral hall,Xiaogan Spring,Jianwen Well,Bai Linxi Monument,Ten Bridges and Nine sluice gates,Tianjiangtai,etc.Among them,Zheng's ancestral hall is the most famous,which was expanded in the early Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 650 years.On the west si
de of the front gate of the shrine,facing Bailinxi,there is a plaque on the frieze of Zheng Family's Ancestral Hall.On the side frieze,the plaque on the frieze is hung,and the frieze is divided into five entrances into the west.The front is the division thrifty hall,the second is the atrium,the third is the orderly hall,the fourth is the filial piety hall,the fifth is the dormitory, which is dedicated to the cohabitation of the ancestors.
The shrine is divided into nine levels,in order of descent.Hatchback set up a virtuous,official,loyalty,deacon,section of filial piety,such as Zhenlie temple.Worship hall is hanging"Xiaoyou Hall"plaque ordered hall, left hanging meeting food bell,right listening to the training drum.There will be parents in the orderly hall.The whole temple has a total of 64 hall house 2 lane,there are"thousand columns fall to the ground","do not knot cobweb"legend.The temple in the Yuan,Ming celebrity inscription,plaques,couplets up to more than 30 pieces (right).On November 8,2007,"THE FIRST FAMILY IN SOUTH China"WILL HOLD A GRAND OPENING TOUR FESTIVAL.It attracts tourists from home and abroad with its new appearance of "ancient town with green hill courtyard and small bridge and flowing water".
