    One thing that happened to me outside of school was when I got lost in a foreign city. I was traveling in Japan and decided to explore the city on my own. I thought I had a good sense of direction, but I ended up getting turned around and couldn't find my way back to the hotel. I was feeling really stressed out and frustrated because I didn't speak the language very well and I didn't have a map with me. It was getting late and I was starting to panic.
    I remembered a phrase I had learned in Japanese that means "Can you help me?" and I asked a local person for directions. They were really kind and walked me back to my hotel, even though it was out of their way. I was so relieved and grateful for their help. It taught me the importance of asking for help when I need it, and also the kindness of strangers.
