一、教材分析
1. 教学内容
本课时系教材《英语3(基础模块)》(高教版)第十单元的Lead-in和Listening and speaking两部分。本课时主要让学生了解关于工作的相关词汇,通过听对话获取判断工作的能力,熟悉常用于询问工作的基本句型,同时提高用英语描述和评价工作的能力。
2. 教学重点、难点
(1) 教学重点:
学生能了解工作的种类,获取对话中具体信息,如原因,准备等。
(2) 教学难点:训练学生用恰当的方式和句型组织对话。
二、教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1) 学生能识别job, career, work, creativity, goal, reward等单词的意思。
(2) 学生能了解并使用下列句型表示愿望、计划和祝福等:
That’ what has been my dream work.
Congratulations!      I’m considering a change.
Why don’t you ...?
2. 能力目标:
(1) 学生能识别工作种类,听信息判断工作,出要这份工作的原因和准备。
(2) 学生能运用合适的句型等进行信息咨询对话。
3. 情感目标:使学生对工作有正确的理解。
三、教学步骤
Step I  Lead-in
1. Brain-storming
(1) Next term, you are going to have your social practice. What do you want to do? What is your dream job?
(2) Discuss in pairs. And write down all the jobs you know.
(3) Read the jobs.
2. Look and match. (Activity 1)
Have a look at the six pictures with Ss. Ask them to match the words with the pictures.
3. Discuss and choose. (Activity 2)
If you want to find a job, what qualification should you have?
Ss are asked to choose the qualifications.
4. Listen and answer. (Activity 3)
Ss are asked to listen to the tape and answer the question.
Step II  istening and speaking
1. Listen and answer. (Activity 4)
Listen to the tape and write down the topic. And then check the answers.
2. Listen and check. (Activity 5)
(1) Let Ss go through the sentences.
(2) Listen and check.
(3) Check the answers.
3. Listen and complete. (Activity 6)
(1) Ask some Ss to describe the four pictures.
(2) Ss listen to the tape again and complete the sentences.
(3) Check the answers.
4. Ask and underline. (Activity 7)
(1) Ask Ss to listen to the tape again to underling the sentences for hopes, plans and encouragement.
(2) Ask some Ss to read the sentences and Teacher writes them on the blackboard.
(3) Ask Ss to read the sentences.
5. Ask and answer. (Activity 8)
(1) Ask Ss to choose one card, discuss in pairs and complete the dialogue.
(2) Ask Ss to read the dialogue.
6. Act and practice. (Activity 9)
(1) Ask Ss to write down their dream job.
(2) Discuss in group of four. Ask each other about the dream jobs, using the sentences they learned as much as possible.
(3) Call 4 groups to share their dialogues.
Step III  Homework
Think the factors you will take into consideration when you are hunting a job.

本课时系教材《英语3(基础模块)》(高教版)第九单元的reading and writing部分。课文介绍了关于最好职业的论述性文章,并要求学生掌握说明文的写作规范并能介绍自己喜欢的工作。
2. 教学重点、难点
(1) 教学重点:
① 通过预测,略读和精读的阅读技巧,理解课文内容。
② 通过阅读文章,归纳和整理,总结观点并陈述。
(2) 教学难点:
使学生通过阅读总结观点。
二、教学目标
1. 阅读目标:
学生能通过预测,略读和精读等方法,把握文章大意并总结观点。
2. 写作目标:
学生能掌握说明文规范,并简单介绍自己喜欢的工作。
3. 情感目标:
树立积极的工作态度。
三、教学步骤
Step I  Lead-in
1. Brain-storming
The Ss are asked to say out the factors they will consider when hunting a job.
2. Discuss and decide (Activity 10)
Ss are asked to discuss in pairs if the following descriptions is suit for him / her.
Step II  Reading
1. Read and answer. (Activity 11)
Ss read the title of the passage and guess what the passage mainly talk about.
2. Read and check. (Activity 12)
(1) Ss read the sentences together.
(2) Ss read the passage and check whether the sentences are right or wrong.
(3) Check the answers and let them tell the reasons if the sentence is wrong.
3. Read and discuss. (Activity 13)
(1) Ss read the passage again and discuss the five sentences in pairs.
(2) Ss express their opinion and state their reasons.
Teacher writes down some important sentences expressing ideas.
Step III  Writing
1. Ask and answer. (Activity 14)
Ss in pairs ask and answer, according to themselves.
2. Read and complete. (Activity 15)
(1) Ss read the answers in activity 14, and then complete the introduction.
(2) Call some students to read out the introduction.
Step IV  Homework
Interview one of your best friends. And write down a passage like that in Activity 15.
