    Last Week's Adventures
Last week was so much fun! I had a bunch of exciting things happen. On Monday, we had a half day at school because the teachers had a special meeting in the afternoon. I was really happy about that because it meant I got home earlier than normal.
When I got home from school, my best friend Timmy came over and we played video games for a few hours. Timmy is really good at Super Bash Bros. and he almost always beats me. But last Monday, I finally managed to win a couple matches against him! I was so proud of myself.
On Tuesday, we had a normal full day of school. My favorite class is science because I lov
e learning about how things work and doing experiments. Last Tuesday in science, we did an experiment where we made little volcanoes out of baking soda, vinegar, and dish soap. It was awesome watching them all erupt! I got a little bit of the volcanic "lava" on my shirt though, so my mom had to wash it when I got home.
Wednesday was pretty uneventful during the day, but that evening was my little brother's 7th birthday party. We had it at our house and invited a bunch of his friends over. My parents hired someone to do magic tricks and balloon animals, which was really cool. The magician made a bunny appear out of an empty top hat! I have no idea how he did that. For the birthday cake, it was a big Paw Patrol themed cake because that's my brother's favorite show. He was so happy.
Thursday was an exciting day because my class went on a field trip to the science museum downtown. I loved seeing all the interactive exhibits and doing the hands-on activities. My favorite part was the planetarium where we got to see a simulation of the planets and stars on the dome ceiling. It felt like we were in outer space! On the bus ride back to school, I fell asleep because I was so tired from all the walking around we did.
Finally, Friday was just a regular school day, but I didn't mind because the weekend was coming up. In the evening, my family went out for dinner at a Mexican restaurant to celebrate my dad's promotion at work. I ordered beef tacos which were delicious. The restaurant had a mariachi band playing music which made it feel festive.
That summed up my exciting week! I can't wait to see what adventures are in store for me in the week ahead. A kid's life is never boring, that's for sure. Even just regular days at school are filled with fun times with my friends and things to learn. I feel very lucky.

    Last Week's Adventures
Last week was super exciting! It started off on Monday when we had a surprise quiz in math class. I had studied really hard over the weekend, so I wasn't too worried. The quiz was on fractions and decimals, which I've been struggling with a bit. But when the teacher handed it out, I took a deep breath and got to work. I double-checked each problem carefull
y before moving on to the next one. When the teacher collected the quizzes at the end of class, I felt pretty good about how I did.
After school on Monday, I had soccer practice. We did a bunch of drills working on passing and shooting. I'm a defender, so I don't get to shoot on goal that often during games. But it's still fun to practice my shooting skills! Towards the end, we scrimmaged and my team won 3-2. I stopped a couple of shots from going in, which made me really proud.
Tuesday was a pretty normal day at school. We learned about the constitutional convention in history class, which was interesting but also kind of confusing with all the different people involved. I'll definitely need to review my notes before the test. At lunch, my friend Emma spilled her milk carton all over the floor. It was so funny watching her try to clean it up! After school, I just had homework to do unfortunately. No fun activities.
Wednesday was a fun day though! We went on a field trip to the science museum. I love that place - they have so many cool, interactive exhibits. My favorite was the bubble room where you could make all different shapes and sizes of bubbles. I even managed to make
a tiny bubble inside a bigger bubble! How cool is that? We also got to watch a light show about renewable energy in the planetarium. It reminded me how important it is to take care of our planet.
When I got home from the field trip, I was pretty tired. So I just relaxed by reading my favorite book series for a little while. I'm almost done with the 5th book, and I can't wait to see how it ends! For dinner, Mom made tacos which are always delicious. After dinner, I finished up some homework for Thursday and then it was time for bed.
