英语重点词汇语法详解happen和occur的区别
1.happen, occur两者都可以表示“突然的偶然发生”，常常可以互换通用：
此时两个词只是仅仅happen是普通常用词；occur比较正式。
New things are happening all around us.
我们身边总有新事发生。
I dread to think what will happen in the case of a major emergency.
我不敢想在重大紧急情况下会发生什么。
Accidents like this happen all the time.
此类事故经常发生。
I'll be there whatever happens.
不管发生什么事我都会到那儿的。
A bad accident happened to the family.
家里发生了不幸事故。（此处to是介词）
She happened to be out when we called.
