    My School Life
    Hi there! I'm a 7th grader, and I'd like to share a bit about my school life with you. School is such an important part of my life, and I've learned so much already, both in the classroom and outside of it.
    I wake up pretty early each morning, around 6:30 AM. I have to get ready quickly, as the school bus comes at 7:15 AM sharp! I enjoy the bus ride, as it gives me a chance to chat with my friends before we start our day. The bus driver, Mr. Jenkins, is really nice too. He always greets us with a smile and a "Good morning!"
    Once we arrive at school, we have a little time before the first bell rings. I like to hang out i
n the courtyard with my buddies. We talk about our homework, what we did the night before, or we might play a quick game. When the bell rings at 8 AM, we head to our homeroom classes.
    My favorite class is probably English. I really enjoy reading the stories and poems we cover. Our teacher, Ms. Roberts, has such a nice way of explaining things. She makes grammar rules seem so easy to understand! I've gotten much better at writing compositions and essays thanks to her guidance.
    Math class is pretty challenging for me, but I'm working hard at it. My math teacher, Mr. Gonzalez, is very patient. He'll go over problems step-by-step until we get it. I have a math tutor, Jessica, who helps me twice a week after school too. Fractions and algebra are slowly making more sense!
    Science is a subject I really like too. We've learned about ecosystems, the human body, and basic chemistry so far this year. The experiments we get to do are super cool! My best friend Riley and I were lab partners for our experiment on chemical reactions last month. Le
t's just say there was plosion. But don't worry, we followed all the safety rules!
    At lunch time, the cafeteria is where it's at! The pizza is actually pretty decent, but I also like to pack my own lunch sometimes. My mom makes a great chicken salad sandwich. I hang out with my group of friends as we eat. We discuss our morning classes, make plans for hanging out after school, or just joke around.
    After lunch, we have two more class periods before the day ends at 3 PM. I've gotten pretty lucky with my elective classes this year too. For one elective, I'm taking art. I've always loved drawing and painting, so this class is a lot of fun for me. We recently learned about shading and adding depth to our sketches.
    My other elective is music, which I wasn't super excited about at first. However, it's turned out to be really cool! We started off learning how to read music and play the recorder. Just a few months ago, we moved on to learning the fundamentals of playing the guitar. I have a guitar at home too now, and I practice the chords and riffs we go over in class. Who knows, maybe I'll start a rock band someday!
    Once the final bell rings at 3 PM, I have a few different options. If I don't have any club meetings or sports practice, I'll usually head to the public library near my house. It's a nice quiet space for me to knock out any homework I have. Sometimes friends will join me, and we'll work on assignments together.
    Other days, I might attend a meeting for the school's Environment Club. We're very active in organizing recycling efforts, beach clean-ups, and raising awareness about environmental issues. It feels good to be part of making a positive impact.
    Two days a week, I have soccer practice after school. Our team, the Trailblazers, had a great season this year. We made it all the way to the county championship game! Unfortunately, we ended up losing in a heartbreaking finale. But I'm very proud of how far we went and how hard we played together.

    My evenings are generally spent eating dinner with my family, squeezing in any remaining homework, maybe watching some TV, and getting ready for bed. I try to be asleep by 10 PM so I'm well-rested for the next school day.

    My Favorite Game
    My favorite game is basketball. I love playing it with my friends after school and on the weekends. Basketball is lots of fun and helps keep me active and healthy.
    When I play basketball, I feel free and happy. Dribbling the ball up and down the court and trying to make baskets is really exciting. It's even more thrilling when I'm playing on a team against my friends. We get very competitive but in a good-natured way.
    Win or lose, basketball brings me joy. I love being outdoors running around. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I make a difficult shot. And it's great exercise that keeps me in shape.
