摘要：PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of the cushion member for a seat and the like which is combined with a surface material having an appropriate cushion nature and feeling by preliminarily embedding the surface material in the cushion body prior to the foaming of the cushion body. CONSTITUTION:On the inner surface of a lower die member 4 of a cushion member forming die is placed a flexible foam 1 cut out in a predetermined shape and provided on one side with a liquid impermeable adhesive coat 2. Then a stock solution 3 for urethane foaming is poured within the lower die member 4 in contact with the above-mentioned coat 2 of the flexible foam 1. The reaction heat generated in the foaming of the stock solution 3 melts the coat 2, by which the poured foam 3' is adhered to the flexible foam 1 which makes the surface material. Then an upper die member 5 is covered on the lower die member 4. The flexible foam 1 is molded in accordance with the configuration of the die under the foaming pressure of the stock solution 3. According to the above-mentioned method, the manufacture of the cushion member combined with the surface material is much facilitated.
