摘要： ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In the smelting of metal in a bath of the molten metla, oxygen is injected into the molten metal in a stream adjacent to a stream of a protective fluid which conveys a particulate metal ore, which is reactive with oxygen, into the molten metal; in this way the oxygen and particulate metal ore are safety introduced into the interior of the molten metal.
