摘要:PURPOSE:To decrease the vibration in the lower plenum structure of the core by the disturbance in the flow of coolant passing in reactor water flow passages by installing shroud legs at the intermediate points of adjacent internal pumps. CONSTITUTION:The shroud legs 20 are installed at the intermediate points of the adjacent internal pumps 5 so that the reactor water flow passages 21a, 21b are not formed at the intermediate points of the adjacent internal pumps 5. The flow of the coolant is disturbed at the intermediate of the pumps 5 by the collision of the coolant discharged from the respective pumps 5 against each other and is thereby changed in course by 90 deg., but the shroud legs 20 exist in the changed course and the coolant cannot advance. The stagnation of the coolant is thus generated. The flow spreading to the overall height of the reactor water flow passage is changed to the flow along the end plate in the lower part of the reactor pressure vessel during this time. The large vibration that the turbulent flow by the collision of the coolant against each other imparts by colliding against a housing 9 of a control rod driving mechanism and a neutron flux monitor housing 10 is, therefore, prevented.
