In many places of the world the production of sweet water e.g drinking water, process water or  irrigation water  from salty
sources such as brackish water
or seawater is the sole possibility for the consumers to get safe and healthy drinking water or treated water for industrial or agricultural use. Production of Desalinated Water

Desalinated water can be prepared from all kind of salty surface waters, e.g. from brackish water or from seawater. The technologies to be used here fore are safe and secure, and they belong to the state-of the-art. They are based on the following processes:

Pre-treatment:
Oxidation, flocculation, sedimentation (LHPS- Reactor), conditioning, filtration (BiosS-Treat ®- Technology) 预处理:

Cartridge filtration, high-pressure pumping, energy recovery, low-/ medium-/ high pressure reverse osmosis

pH- adjustment, lime-/carbon dioxide-balancing, disinfection 后处理

Product Water Quality

The RO- product water will be post-treated according to the individual requirements using the appropriate treatment technologies. Drinking water quality complies with the actual WHO Standards for potable water.
反渗透生产水将会根据客户要求,采用适当技术进行后处理。饮用水质生将符合世界卫生组织设定的饮用水标准。

The advantages of selfish water production can even be maximised by joint design and/or operation of the (drinking) water production facility with the waste water treatment facility and/or other water treatment facilities, such as swimming pool water treatment. Benefits of Self Production

For medium and small quantity consumers, e.g. hotels, resorts, camping grounds and golf courses on one hand but military installations, industries & construction camps, drilling platforms and ships or catastrophe areas on the other hand, the self production of drinking and process water is an unique, economic and save alternative to water supply from the municipal grid or to water supply by trucks.

Containerised Plants

BHU supplies pre- fabricated RO plants installed in ISO Norm- containers with capacities of 100 to 2.000 m³/d for brackish water desalination and 100 – 1.000 m³/d for seawater desalination plants per container. Larger capacities can be realised by the installation of a series of containers in parallel.
