摘要：PURPOSE:To enhance safety of fast reactor by arranging a void capturing structure for capturing generating bubbles above an exothermic substance. CONSTITUTION:Voids generated in an exothermic body 4 begins to ascend due to buoyancy but they are impeded by a void capturing structure 7 arranged above the structure 4. The space formed by the void expands in the gap between the structure 7 and the exothermic body 4 while pushing out a coolant. Consequently, the voids can be kept longer in the assembly as compared with conventional case and the time for reducing or making negative the degree of void reaction in the core can be prolonged as compared with a case having no void capturing structure. Furthermore, when the structure 7 is made of a material equivalent to that of the exothermic body 4 or when an equivalent material is applied to the inside of the structure 7, temperature of the structure 7 can be raised above the saturation temperature of sodium and thereby, the captured voids can be kept to stay for a long time.
