摘要：PURPOSE:To prevent in inner packing substance from receiving a damage
caused by being vibrated by the flow of a cooling material, by providing an accessary
substance which has a spring to the upper nozzle, when a fuel assembly for a high burnup burning whose full length is reduced is packed in a nuclear reactor, and the inner packing substance which has a pressing spring is placed between the upper nozzle and the upper reactor core plate of the reactor. CONSTITUTION:At the center of the adaptor plate 20a of an upper nozzle main body 20, an elevating receiver 11 which can be pressed down freely against the elasticity of a spring 10 is provided projecting upward, and the central projection 9c of an inner packing substance 9 held by the upper core plate 8b of a nuclear reactor 8 is received to the upper board 11a of the elevating receiver 11 by the pressing force of a pressing spring 9a. And the spring 10 is pressed and contracted by the elasticity of the pressing spring 9a, and even though a fuel assembly 1a for a high burnup burning is short, the pressing spring 9a is not extended fully, but exercises a sufficient pressing down force so as to block the vibration of the inner packing substance.
