摘要：PURPOSE:To lengthen a cycle life by making poisonous concentration of an upper range of fuel rods containing combustible poison lower than that of a center and a lower ranges and making the number of the fuel rods containing the poison of the center range less than that of the center range. CONSTITUTION:The whole length of axial nuclear fuel substance filling ranges of fuel assemblies 1A, 2A containing first and second combustible poisons is made up of 24 nodes and the range except for upper and lower ends is divided into an upper range 1, an intermediate range II and a lower range III. The first and the second assemblies differ in combustible poison design. Next, they are arranged in the respective range I, II, III so that dimensional relation of the number and the concentration of the fuel rods containing the combustible poison are satisfied. The axial output of the fuel assemblies at the time in which the fuel rods are deeply inserted and arranged is flattened over a cycle. Therefore, reactivity loss is controlled and a cycle life can be lengthened.
