CW.5   INTERVIEW
Creativity, innovation and market research
As global competition increases the need for organisations to clearly differentiate themselves has become critical. Companies now recognise that creativity can generate significant competitive advantage through the delivery of original and valuable products and business solutions. Most companies rely on traditional market research techniques such as questionnaires and focus groups to provide them with data that directs, guides and drives NPD strategy and decision making.  However many organisations are beginning to question their reliance on such potentially biased and often limited data and as such are starting to review the methodological options available to them.

The main objective of this project is to investigate which market research  methods can significantly enhance the creative process and increase the potential for significant transformational innovation rather than incremental change.  The project should outline the
strengths and weaknesses of current methods and develop a model for future market research  processes that will promote meaningful creativity.
