    Last week was so much fun! I did all sorts of cool things with my family and friends. On Monday after school, my best friend Johnny came over and we played video games for a few hours. We took turns playing this awesome new game called Cosmic Explorers 5 where you get to fly a spaceship and go on adventures across different planets and galaxies. Johnny beat the first few levels but then I caught up to him. We played until my mom called us for dinner.
    On Tuesday, my little sister had her elementary school soccer game. My whole family went to watch and cheer her on. Her team was playing against their biggest rivals, the Thunderbolts. It was a really close game but in the last few minutes, my sister scored the win
ning goal! We were all so proud of her. After the game, we went out for pizza to celebrate her big victory. I had a few slices of pepperoni pizza which is my favorite.
    Wednesday was a pretty regular day at school, but in the evening my dad took me and my brother to the new science museum downtown. They had this really cool exhibit all about space exploration and the future of space travel. My favorite part was getting to go inside this model of the new spacecraft that NASA is designing to send people to Mars someday. I also loved seeing the real space suits that the astronauts wear. After the museum, we stopped for ice cream sundaes on the way home.
    Thursday was another school day, but in the evening my cousin Emma came over for a sleepover. We played some board games, did makeovers on each other, and stayed up late watching movies and eating popcorn. We had such a fun time being silly and goofing around together.
    Then on Friday, it was an in-service day so we had no school! In the morning, my mom took me and Emma to the indoor waterpark for a few hours. We went on all the waterslides
and played in the wave pool. After the waterpark, we met up with my dad and brother for lunch at my favorite burger place.
    That evening, my family and I went to my aunt and uncle's house for a big family dinner. All my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents were there. We had a delicious homemade spaghetti dinner with salad and garlic bread. After dinner, all us kids played hide and seek around the house while the adults sat around and talked. It was getting pretty late by the time we left their house.
    I was pretty tired after such a busy and fun week, so on Saturday I just hung around the house. My mom let me sleep in late since I didn't have school. In the afternoon, Johnny came back over and we played some more video games. For dinner, my dad grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs.
    Then on Sunday, we went to church in the morning like we do every week. After church, my family spent a few hours at the park. The weather was beautiful and sunny. My brother and I played on the playground while my mom and dad relaxed on a blanket under the tree
s. Later after we got home, I spent the rest of the day reading comic books in my room.
    Overall, last week was so much fun spending time with my family and friends. We did so many fun activities and made so many great memories together. I feel very lucky and grateful. Even though I love my summer and winter breaks from school, weeks like this make me excited to go back to school too. I can't wait to tell my classmates all about my awesome week!

    Last Week's Adventures
    Hiya! Last week was super fun and exciting. It was filled with all sorts of cool activities and adventures. Let me tell you all about it!
    On Monday, we had a big science project due at school. We had to make a volcano out of stuff from home like cardboard, paper mache, and paint. My volcano looked awesome - I painted it bright red with yellow lava coming out the top. When I made the baking soda and
vinegar mixture erupt, it totally looked like real lava! My teacher Mrs. Jenkins said my project was one of the best she'd ever seen. I was so proud!
    After school, my best friend Tommy came over and we played in the backyard for hours. We took turns being superheroes and zapping each other with our imaginary laser beam powers. Tommy made the best "pew pew" sound effects ever! Before he left, we had a snack of chocolate chip cookies and ice cold lemonade that my mom made. Yummy!
    Tuesday was a pretty normal day at school. We had a math test on adding and subtracting big numbers. I studied really hard, so I think I did well. During recess, a bunch of us played a huge game of freeze tag out on the playground. I was one of the last ones unfrozen at the end!
    That evening, Dad took me and my little sister Sarah to the movies. We saw the new animated movie about the talking dog who goes on adventures. Sarah and I laughed so hard - the dog was really silly and goofy. We got a big tub of buttery popcorn to share, plus boxes of SourPatch Kids candy. Such a sugary treat!
