    My Family at This Moment
    Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I'm going to tell you all about what my family is up to right this very second. It's a pretty normal Saturday morning for us.
    I just woke up about an hour ago. I'm still in my pajamas which have rocket ships all over them. I really like rocket ships and want to be an astronaut when I grow up! After rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, the first thing I did was grab my favorite stuffed animal, Mr. Fluffkins the bear, and head downstairs to the kitchen.
    My dad is in the kitchen right now making pancakes for breakfast. He makes the Best pancakes ever! Whenever he cooks, he wears a goofy chef's hat that makes me and my little

sister Lily laugh. Lily is 6 years old and is sitting at the kitchen table coloring in one of her coloring books while we wait for the pancakes. The picture she's working on is of a unicorn. Lily is really into unicorns lately.
    My mom isn't in the kitchen. She's actually still upstairs getting dressed for the day. I can hear her moving around in her bedroom and her closet door opening and closing as she picks out what to wear. My mom takes a really long time to get ready in the morning. She probably spent like an hour just on her hair and makeup!
    While Dad cooks the pancakes, he's also trying to watch the morning news on the little TV we have in the kitchen. But with me and Lily both talking and laughing so much, I bet it's hard for him to actually hear what's happening on the news. We're being pretty noisy! Lily is singing some silly made-up song about unicorns and pancakes. I'm trying to do my math homework from school that's due on Monday because I forgot all about it until just now.
    My older brother Jake isn't downstairs yet. He's still fast asleep up in his bedroom. Jake is 15 years old and loves to sleep in as late as possible on the weekends. He'll probably sta
y up there until lunchtime! Knowing Jake, he's probably dreaming about playing video games right now. That's pretty much all he ever dreams about I bet.
    Sadie, our golden retriever dog, is lucky she gets to be part of the kitchen fun with us. She's laying down right at my feet under the table, waiting for someone to "accidentally" drop a piece of pancake so she can gobble it up. We always give her a few pancake crumbs because she just looks so cute and hungry with those big puppy dog eyes.
    Outside, I can hear the birds chirping away like crazy. It's a beautiful sunny spring day today. After we're done eating our pancakes, Mom and Dad said we're all going to go to the community park to take a walk on the trails and then have a picnic lunch. I'm really looking forward to that!
    There are so many fun things to do at the park. I'll get to go down the big swirly slide and play on the swing set. Maybe I'll even get to climb on the rainbow monkey bars if there aren't too many big kids hogging them. We'll also go on the nature trail and look for cool bugs and animals in the woods. Last time we went, we saw a family of bunnies!
    After we get home from the park, I'm planning to spend the afternoon outside on the trampoline in our backyard. I just have so much energy today! Maybe I'll even get to play my favorite game: having Dad bounce me up super high and trying to touch the clouds. Well, probably not actually touch the clouds since they're so high up. But I'll reach my arms up as far as I can anyway!
    Later tonight after we eat dinner, the whole family is going to watch a movie together in the living room. We still need to pick which movie, but I'm going to vote for my favorite one about a talking dog who goes on crazy adventures. It's sooo funny! We'll make popcorn and mom will let Lily and me have some candy too as a special weekend treat.
    When it's finally time for bed, I'll put on my spaceship pajamas and read a chapter from my favorite book series about a young explorer who travels to different planets. Then I'll snuggle up with Mr. Fluffkins and drift off to dreamland thinking about everything fun we did today.
    I sure am lucky to have such a loving, awesome family! We may be a bit crazy and loud
sometimes, but we always have a great time together no matter what we're doing. Can't wait to see what other adventures tomorrow brings!

    It's After School and I'm Having a Fun Time with My Family!
    Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 9 years old. I just got home from school about an hour ago and my family and I are hanging out and doing some fun activities together. Let me tell you all about what we're up to right now!
    First, I'll start with my little brother Tommy. He's only 5 years old, but he already knows he wants to be a fireman when he grows up. Right now, he's in the living room pretending he's putting out a huge fire. He has one of dad's old raincoats on and is using the squirt bottle from the kitchen to spray imaginary flames. He's making siren noises and shouting "Fire truck coming through! Stand back everyone!" It's really cute watching him play like that.
