    My Big Brother's University
Wow, you want me to tell you about my big brother's university? That's so exciting! I've been there a couple of times to visit him, and it's like a whole different world. Just you wait until you hear about all the amazing things they have there!
First of all, the campus itself is H-U-G-E! It stretches on and on with buildings everywhere you look. They have dorms where all the students live, classroom buildings for their classes, science labs, libraries, cafeterias, gyms, and even an actual football stadium! Can you believe that? A real stadium just for the students to play football games. It's ginormous and fits like a bazillion people. Ok, maybe not a bazillion, but definitely thousands!
My favorite part is definitely the student union building though. That's kind of like the central hub where everyone hangs out between classes. They have all kinds of cool stuff in there! There are lots of different restaurants and cafes, so you can get any kind of food you want - burgers, pizza, sushi, you name it! They even have this amazing bakery that makes the most delicious cookies and cakes. Mom never lets me have too many sweets, but when I visit my brother I always beg him to take me to the bakery.
There are also little stores to buy supplies, clothes with the university logo, and all that kind of stuff. But the best part is the game room! They have pool tables, air hockey, video games, you name it. Me and my brother always play ski ball when I'm there to see who can get the high score. He cheats though by using the elbows he learned from being on the baseball team. No fair!
Oh, and I can't forget about the library! I thought libraries were just quiet buildings full of books, but this one is like a palace of knowledge. It's four or five stories tall with millions of books on any topic you can imagine. They have these cool study areas with computers, pri
sort of和kind of的区别nters, and big tables you can spread out all your stuff on. The best part though is the quiet rooms where you're not allowed to make any noise at all. It's so quiet in there that you can hear a pin drop from the other side of the room! My brother says he loves studying in there when he has a big test coming up.
That's not all though! They also have places for students to do research projects on pretty much any topic you can dream up. My brother's friend Amanda is studying oceanography, which is all about studying the oceans. She gets to go on trips to the beach and sail on research boats to collect water samples. How cool is that? I'd love to be able to do that for my science fair project instead of just growing boring beans in a cup.
I probably shouldn't forget to mention the sports facilities too. Obviously there's the football stadium, but they also have basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and even a huge swimming pool! My brother is on the baseball team, so I've gotten to see him play a bunch of times. Go Beavers! Oh, and they also have a state-of-the-art gym for weightlifting, exercising, or taking fitness classes if you're into that kind of thing.
With so many buildings and things to do, you'd think it would be hard to get around. But the university has tons of paths crisscrossing everywhere that make it easy to walk or ride your bike to get wherever you need to go. And if you get too tired, there are also shuttle buses that circle around to pick you up. My brother says the shuttles are free for students, so he never has to pay when he wants a ride somewhere.
Probably the craziest thing about the whole university though is just how many students go there. My elementary school has maybe 500 kids total from kindergarten through 5th grade. But there are literally tens of thousands of students attending my brother's university! It's like an entire city just for going to school. They come from all over our state, other states, and even other countries from across the world. Just imagine trying to learn alongside students from so many different cultures and backgrounds. It must be an awesome way to make friends and learn about how people live in other parts of the world.
Whew, I think that's about covers the major highlights from my visits to see my big bro. A university is basically like a mini-city packed full of awesome places to learn, hang out, play sports, eat delicious food, and have

    My Big Brother's University
My big brother Jake goes to a really cool university called Stanford University. It's in a place called California which is really far away from where we live. I've never been there myself, but Jake has told me all about it and shown me pictures. It looks like a totally awesome place!
The campus itself is huge - bigger than our whole town! There are tons of big old buildings made of stone and brick, kind of like castles. Jake says some of them are hundreds of years old. Can you believe people were going to class in those same buildings way back when our great-great-grandparents were kids? Wild!
