Standing Up to the Class Bullies
School is supposed to be a safe place where kids can learn, make friends, and have fun. But sometimes there are bullies who try to ruin that for everyone else. The class bullies are the kids who think they can push other students around and force them to do things they don't want to do. Well, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to put up with that behavior!
I know it can be really scary when the bullies target you. They might say mean things, push you around, take your stuff, or threaten you if you don't listen to them. Maybe they've even forced you to do their homework, get them snacks from the cafeteria, or be their "servant" during recess. It's an awful feeling being bullied like that. You might feel afraid, embarrassed, angry, or helpless. But don't worry, there are ways to stand up to bullies withou
t getting violent or making the situation worse.
The most important thing is to not let the bullies see that their tactics are working. Bullies keep bullying because they think it gives them power over you. But if you refuse to show that you're scared or upset, you're taking that power away from them. It's hard, but try your best to keep calm and avoid crying or looking afraid when the bullies confront you.
Next, you need to be firm and speak up for yourself in a clear, confident voice. When a bully tells you to do something you don't want to do, look them in the eye and say "No, I won't do that" in a calm but serious tone. Don't engage in arguing or insulting them back - that's just giving them more attention, which is what bullies crave. Just keep politely but firmly refusing to do what they say.
    You could say something like:
"I'm not going to do your math homework. That's cheating and it's wrong."
"No, I won't get you extra snacks from the cafeteria. You need to get your own food."
"I'm not your servant. Stop telling me what to do during recess."
If the bully keeps insisting, just calmly repeat "No" or "I already said I won't do that." Don't give in, no matter how much they try to persuade, threaten or insult you.
It's also a good idea to avoid the bullies as much as possible when you can. Don't hang out in the areas where they like to go or travel alone where they might have a chance to corner you without witnesses around. Stick close to your friends and stay near the teachers or staff when you can.
If the bullying keeps happening even after you've stood up to them, you need to tell a teacher, principal, parent or trusted adult about what's going on. Bullies usually don't stop until adults get involved. It's not tattling - you're just looking out for your own safety. The bullies might try to say it's no big deal or accuse you of overreacting, but stay firm. Bullying is unacceptable behavior and the adults at school need to know so they can put a stop to it.
When you report the bullying, be specific. Tell them:
Who was bullying you (name the bullies)
What they did/said to bully you
When and where the bullying happenedsort of up to造句
    If there were any witnesses
How it made you feel (scared, upset, etc.)
That you already tried standing up to them but they won't stop
The adults might call you, the bullies, and witnesses to the office to find out more about what happened. Or they might just directly discipline the bullies. Either way, don't be afraid to speak up and get the school's help with stopping the bullying behavior.
Getting bullied is never your fault. You should feel safe and respected at school, not forced to do things that make you uncomfortable. It takes courage to stand up to a bully, but it's important for your self-respect and sense of safety. With calm confidence, saying "n
o" firmly, avoiding bullies when possible, and reporting it to adults if needed, you can put a stop to their unacceptable behavior towards you.
Remember, bullies try to make you feel powerless, but they're the ones doing something wrong - not you. Don't let them make you feel small. You have a voice and you deserve to feel safe and respected at school just like everyone else. Stay strong and keep standing up for yourself! Those bullies' days of pushing you around are over.

    Being Bullied is No Fun
School should be a safe and happy place for kids. But sometimes there are mean bullies who try to ruin it for everyone else. Bullies are kids who use their strength or popularity to hurt, frighten, or force others to do things they don't want to do. They might call you names, take your belongings, or make you do their homework or other tasks for them. I know how awful it feels to be bullied because it happened to me.
Last year, this big fourth grade boy named Marcus started bullying me during recess. He would shove me around on the playground and demand that I give him my snacks or lunch money. A few times he even made me do his math homework for him because he said he would beat me up if I didn't. I was really scared of Marcus because he was so much bigger and tougher than me. I just did whatever he said so he wouldn't hurt me.
