    My Wonderful Weekends
Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I love weekends because I get to do so many fun things! Friday nights are the best because I don't have school the next day. I get my pajamas on right after dinner and we have a family movie night. We make popcorn and hot chocolate and snuggle up on the couch together. My favorite movies are animated ones with lots of singing and dancing animal characters. I like to sing along - my little brother thinks it's annoying but my parents don't mind!
On Saturday mornings, I wake up pretty early because I'm just so excited for the weekend. My dad makes us pancakes or french toast for breakfast. I like to help by mixing the batter and flipping the pancakes. After breakfast, if it's nice out, we'll go to the park near our house.
There's a big playground there with swings, slides, monkey bars, and more. I'm getting pretty good at the monkey bars now! We also like to have picnics at the park. My mom packs sandwiches, fruits, veggies, and juice boxes. For dessert we'll pick up a treat like ice cream or donuts on the way home.
In the afternoons, I often have playdates with my friends from school. We love playing imaginary games like princesses or superheroes. Sometimes we just run around outside playing tag or hide-and-seek. When we're inside, we build forts out of blankets and pillows, play board games, or do crafts and coloring. I'm really into making friendship bracelets lately.
On Sundays after breakfast, my family goes to church. I'm in the kids' choir and I love singing with my friends up on the stage. Church has really nice stained glass windows that make the room feel bright and happy. After church, we'll go out for a fun family lunch, maybe at a pizza place with an arcade.
Sunday evenings are my favorite part of the weekend. We have a tradition of doing som
ething special together as a family. Sometimes we go bowling, roller skating, or to the movies. Other times we'll stay home and bake cookies or have a game night playing classics like Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and Sorry. No matter what we do, I cherish that family time so much.
Before I know it, it's already bedtime on Sunday and time to get ready for another school week. I feel so refreshed and happy after my wonderful weekends though. They're the highlight of my week for sure! I make the best memories with my family and friends. Weekends are the best!

    My Awesome Weekends
Weekends are the best! They're the only time I don't have to wake up really early for school. Instead, I can sleep in as late as I want. Well, maybe not too late since Mom gets annoyed if I stay in bed past 9am. But at least I don't have that terrible alarm clock blaring at 6:30am like on school days. I hate that thing!
Once I finally roll out of bed on Saturday mornings, I head straight to the kitchen. My favorite breakfast ever is Mom's chocolate chip pancakes. They're sweet and fluffy and totally delicious, especially when drizzled with maple syrup. Mom makes them extra special by adding a few extra chocolate chips on top in the shape of a smiley face. Yum!
After filling my belly, I'll usually plop down on the couch and watch some cartoons for a little while. All the best shows are on Saturday mornings like Spongebob, The Loud House, and The Amazing World of Gumball. My little brother Jeremy loves watching them with me. He's only 5 so he can be pretty annoying sometimes, but I don't mind too much on lazy Saturday mornings.
Once the good shows are over, it's outside playtime! I'll call up my friends Tyler and Emma to see if they can come over. If the weather is nice, we'll setup out in the backyard. Tyler always brings his football and we'll toss it around for a while. I'm actually getting pretty good - maybe I'll make the school team someday. Emma prefers doing gymnastics instead. She's super flexible and can do crazy backbends, cartwheels, you name it. I don't have the coordination for that kinda stuff so I just watch in amazement.
sort of up to造句    If the weather isn't cooperating, we'll move the fun indoors. We've got a huge basement with tons of space to run around like maniacs. We'll play hide and seek, have Nerf gun wars, that sort of thing. Sometimes we'll fire up the Nintendo Switch too and take turns playing Mario Kart or Smash Bros. We have tournaments to see who's the best. I usually win at Mario Kart since I'm an expert at landing redshell sneak attacks!
After a few hours of nonstop playtime, we'll take a break for snacks. Mom always has a big tray ready with juice boxes, apple slices, crackers with cheese, and my favorite - Oreos! We'll sit and munch and chat for a bit to regain our energy. Once recharged, it's right back to wild playtime until our friends have to go home for dinner.
Saturday nights are reserved for family fun. We'll either cook out on the grill (I love Mom's burgers!) or order pizza if we're feeling lazy. Once our bellies are full again, we'll watch a movie together while cuddling on the couch under big cozy blankets. We take turns picking the movie each week. I always go for something with superheroes or cartoon characters while Jeremy wants to watch those silly animated animal movies for the millionth time. Mom and Dad are no fun - they always pick boring old dramas.
