    Hi guys! Today I want to talk about a super important topic - should college kids be allowed to date or not? My big sister is in college and she has a boyfriend. My parents aren't too happy about it, but I think it's kind of cool that she has someone special.
    I did some research on dating in college by watching a bunch of movies and TV shows. It seems like a lot of college kids date each other. They go out for fancy dinners, have picnics, go to parties and dances together, and sometimes even get married after they graduate! That all seems really romantic if you ask me.
    But then I read that dating can also distract you from your studies. Some college kids spen
d too much time with their boyfriends or girlfriends instead of doing homework or studying for tests. That doesn't seem very smart to me. School is important! You gotta get good grades so you can get into an even better college later on.
    My friend Timmy says dating is just for grown-ups anyway. He thinks kids our age are too young to have boyfriends or girlfriends. We're supposed to be playing video games and watching cartoons, not going on romantic dates! I kinda agree with him. I'm only 8 years old - I'm definitely not ready for all that mushy stuff yet. Yuck!
    On the other hand, my sister says having a boyfriend in college teaches you important lessons about relationships and communication. She says it helps prepare you for getting married one day when you're a grown-up. I guess that makes sense. Marriage is a big responsibility from what I've heard. You probably should practice a little first with some dating.
    Another good point is that dating gives you someone to hang out with besides just your friends. My sister says her boyfriend supports her when she's stressed about school and th
ey have a ton of fun together. She seems really happy with him. Aww, that's actually kinda sweet!
    But then again, dating costs money that broke college kids probably don't have. You gotta buy flowers, candy, pay hat all adds up fast! As a college student, you're better off saving your pennies to buy important things like video games and action figures. Chicks are temporary, but Ninja Turtles are forever! Am I right fellas?
    This is a really tough decision. I can see good reasons for both allowing dating and not allowing it. If I had to choose, I think I would say college kids should be allowed to date, but only if it doesn't interfere with their schoolwork. Getting an education has to be the top priority.
    They also need to be careful about who they date and make sure it's someone who respects them and treats them right. No dating jerks or players allowed! And they better not get too serious too fast - nobody wants a shotgun wedding before they've even graduated! Take it slow, kids.
    At the end of the day, dating is a very personal choice. Mommy and Daddy can't make that decision for you when you're an adult in college. You gotta figure it out for yourself, weigh the pros and cons. If you think you're mature enough to handle a relationship and it won't distract you from your studies, then go for it! But don't feel pressured if you'd rather just focus on your friends, hobbies and getting good grades. There's no rush to grow up.
    Me, I'll just stick to my action figures and Super Mario games for now. Maybe I'll reconsider this whole dating thing when I'm old enough for college in like 10 more years. But who knows - by then, they might have invented some sort of virtual reality girlfriend! Now THAT sounds way cooler than the real thing if you ask me. Robots forever, baby!

    Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 9 years old. My big sister just started college this year and she's already dating this guy named Kyle. My parents aren't too happy about it be
cause they think she should focus on her studies. But I think dating in college sounds fun! Here's my take as a kid on whether college kids should date or not.
    First off, what even is dating? From what I can tell, it's when two people who like each other a whole lot spend lots of time together. They go out to movies, restaurants, parks, and other places. They hold hands, hug, kiss, and do other romantic stuff that grown-ups do. Some couples even get married after dating for a long time!
    I think dating in college is a good idea for a few reasons. For one, it helps you learn how to be in a relationship. Relationships are really important for when you're an adult and want to get married and have kids someday. Dating lets you practice skills like communication, compromise, and understanding your partner's needs. It's good practice for the future!
