My Trip Last Year
Last year, I went on a super fun trip with my family. We went to the beach and it was amazing!
We woke up early in the morning and packed our bags with sunscreen, towels, and snacks. I was so excited to see the ocean and play in the sand. We drove for a long time, but it was worth it.
When we arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes. The beach was huge! There were waves crashing on the shore and seagulls flying in the sky. I ran towards the water and felt the sand between my toes. It was so soft!
We built sandcastles and collected seashells. I even found a pretty pink one! My mom and dad helped me make a big sandcastle with a moat around it. We decorated it with shells and seaweed. It was the best sandcastle ever!
After playing in the sand, we went for a swim in the ocean. The water was a little cold at first, but I got used to it. I splashed and played with my brother. We had so much fun!
For lunch, we had a picnic on the beach. We ate sandwiches, fruit, and chips. The salty air made everything taste even better. I also had an ice cream cone for dessert. Yum!sort something out
In the afternoon, we went for a walk along the shoreline. I found a starfish and carefully put it back in the water. We saw crabs scurrying across the sand and even spotted a dolphin jumping in the distance. It was like being in a nature documentary!
As the sun started to set, we packed up our things and headed back home. I was sad to leave the beach, but I had so many wonderful memories. I can't wait for our next adventure!
That was my trip last year. It was the best day ever! I will always cherish the time I spent with my family at the beach. I hope we can go again soon.

My Awesome Travel Adventures Last Year
Wow, where do I even start? Last year was so much fun because my family and I went on the most amazing adventures! We traveled to three different countries and saw so many incredible sights. I have to tell you all about it!
Our first stop was Japan. We flew all the way across the Pacific Ocean to get there. I had never been on such a long plane ride before! The flight attendants gave me a cute little bag with games, coloring books, and snacks to keep me busy. I played video games and watched movies the whole time. It took forever, but we finally made it to Tokyo!
Tokyo was mindblowing. The city is enormous, with glittering skyscrapers, flashing neon signs, and people everywhere you look. We rode the super-fast bullet train to Kyoto and sa
w ancient temples and shrines there. My favorite was the Fushimi Inari shrine with its thousands of orange torii gates winding up the mountain. We also visited Hiroshima and the heartbreaking Peace Memorial Museum there. Learning about that dark period of history made me feel very sad.
After Japan, we hopped on another long flight to Italy! I had studied a bit about ancient Rome in school, so I was really excited to see the Colosseum and Roman Forum in person. They were even more massive and impressive than I had imagined. We also went to the Vatican and saw the mind-boggling artwork in the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo's painting on the ceiling were simply stunning. How he painted those detailed masterpieces while lying on his back is beyond me!
My absolute favorite Italian city was Venice though. Wandering around the maze of canals and footbridges felt like being inside a storybook. We took a thrilling gondola ride under the Rialto Bridge and along the Grand Canal. The gondolier sang beautiful Italian songs as we glided through the water. Afterwards, we ate the most delicious pizza I've ever tasted at a little outdoor cafe. Yum!
Our final destination was Switzerland, and it was a winter wonderland! We took a train up into the snowy Swiss Alps and I couldn't believe my eyes. The huge mountain peaks looked like something out of a fairy tale. We went skiing and sledding, had snowball fights, and made snow angels. One afternoon, we took a horse-drawn carriage ride through a picturesque little village with wooden chalets everywhere. I felt like I was in one of those adorable Christmas movies!
The highlight though was exploring the magical caves at the Glacier 3000 resort. We took a cable car partway up the mountain, then a tiny cramped "train" brought us through the heart of the glacier itself. The caves were filled with dazzling sculptures and artwork meticulously carved right into the ancient ice. The blue ice formations glowed under special lights, making it seem like we were inside some sort of frozen fairy castle. It was breathtaking!
