    My Best Friend Lucy
    Lucy is my best friend in the whole wide world! She's the funniest, coolest, and nicest person I know. We've been besties since kindergarten when she shared her crayons with me on the first day of school. That's when I knew we would be friends forever!
    Lucy has the most adorable freckles sprinkled across her nose and cheeks. Her hair is a crazy curly mop of fiery red ringlets that bounce around when she runs and plays. She has a missing front tooth from when she fell off the monkey bars, which makes her smile even cuter. Lucy's eyes are the most amazing shade of emerald green that sparkle with mischief and joy.
    Even though Lucy is tiny (she's the shortest kid in our whole class!), she has a gigantic personality that fills up any room she enters. Lucy is always cracking jokes and making everybody around her crack up laughing until their bellies hurt. She has a wacky sense of humor and isn't afraid to be silly or goofy, which I love! Lucy is constantly making funny faces at me across the classroom to make me laugh when I'm supposed to be paying attention. Once she even burped the entire alphabet during silent reading time!
    My friend is the bravest person I know. Lucy is never scared to try new things or speak her mind. She'll gladly go first when we're playing courage games and she never cries, even if she skins her knee really bad. Lucy stood up to Billy Freeman when he was picking on me for wearing glasses and called him a "big jerk-face meanie-pants." I was so proud of her!
    The thing I admire most about Lucy is how caring and kind she is toward others. If someone is sad or hurt, Lucy always notices and does something sweet to cheer them up. Like the time Katie Ross fell off the swing set and scraped her elbow, Lucy ran to get her te
ddy bear and gave it to Katie to cuddle and make her feel better. Lucy looks out for me too. She defends me if someone is mean to me and always shares her snacks with me at lunch. My friend has the biggest heart of anyone I know.

    Lucy and I have had so many fun adventures and made a million awesome memories together over the years. Like the time we put on a magic show for our families in my backyard and accidentally turned her kid brother into a rabbit! Or the summer we set up a lemonade stand and earned enough money to buy the world's biggest gummy bear from Sam's Candy Shop. Or when we went camping with our parents in the woods and had to chase away a bear who tried to steal our marshmallows!
    I'm so lucky to have a best friend like Lucy. We may drive our parents and teachers crazy with our constant giggling and shenanigans, but Lucy makes every day an adventure and fills my life with so much laughter and happiness. I can't wait to see what sort of mischief and fun we get into together next! Lucy is truly one-of-a-kind and I love her with my whole heart. She's thebestie anyone could ever ask for!

    My Best Friend Sam
    I want to tell you about my best friend Sam. He's the coolest kid I know! Sam is always happy and laughing. His smile is so big that it makes me smile too. Sam has lots of freckles on his face and his hair is a curly, reddish-brown mess. I like his hair because it looks funny and messy, just like him.
    Sam is really good at sports, especially basketball. He can dribble the ball super fast and make baskets from far away. Sometimes I get jealous because he's so talented. But Sam never brags or makes me feel bad. He's nice to everyone and always includes me in games at recess.
    One thing I don't like about Sam is that he's a really messy eater. He gets crumbs and ketchup everywhere when he eats! His mom must get so annoyed with him. But I don't care, that's just how Sam is. He's a funny, goofy kid.
    Sam makes me laugh all the time with his silly jokes and funny voices. He does great impressions of our teachers too. Sometimes we get in trouble for laughing too much in class. Whoops! Sam is the class clown for sure, but I love his sense of humor. Life would be so boring without him around.
    Sam is brave too. Last year, there was a big dog loose on the playground and everyone was scared. But not Sam! He walked right up to the dog and petted it. The dog turned out to be totally friendly. Sam wasn't afraid at all. I was really impressed and wished I could be as brave as him.
    Overall, Sam is just an awesome friend. He's fun, athletic, brave, and so funny. We've been best buds since kindergarten and I can't imagine having a better friend. Sam makes every day an adventure and I'm lucky to have him in my life. He's one-of-a-kind, that's for sure! I'll never forget silly, messy, hilarious Sam. He's the best kid I know.
