    Online classes are super cool! When the pandemic started, my school had to close down for a while. My teachers said we would have to take our classes over the computer instead of in the classroom. I was really excited because I love using computers and technology. But I was also a little nervous because I had never done online classes before. After a few weeks though, I got the hang of it! Here are my tips for being an online class expert:
    First, you need to have all the right stuff to do online classes. You'll need a computer, laptop, or tablet with a webcam so your teacher can see your face. You'll also need headphones with a microphone so you can hear your teacher and classmates and they can hear you too. My parents had to go out and buy me a kids headset with a bendable micropho
ne. That way I don't have to hold it up to my mouth the whole time.
    Next, you have to get signed into your online classroom! The teacher will send a link or URL that you click on in your web browser. This will open up the video meeting for your class. Sometimes you need a password too. Once you're in, you might see just a blank screen at first while you wait for your classmates to join. Or you might see your teacher's face right away if they joined first. Give a big wave to the camera when you see your friends!
    The hardest part of online classes is remembering all the video meeting rules. You have to keep your microphone muted unless you're called on to answer a question or read aloud. When you aren't talking, you have to stay on mute so you don't accidentally make background noises that disturb the class. But don't forget to unmute when it's your turn!
    You also have to pay super close attention in online classes. It's really easy to get distracted by things around your house like toys, pets, or siblings making noise. I have a special spot I sit in for online class with no toys around me so I can focus. My parents make
sure to keep my little brother away while I'm in class too.

    You might have assignments or activities to do during online classes too. Sometimes the teacher will screen share and you have to watch what's on their screen. Other times, you might have to draw on a whiteboard app or type into a text chat. Online classes can be really interactive!
    At the end of each online class, we always have to wait for the teacher to officially end th
