WeTab is a latest generation tablet PC, which connects to the Internet over Wi-Fi or 3G. Operated via a touch screen, it enables due to its intuitive user interface quick access to a comprehensive world of applications, news and multimedia content.
Thanks to support of standard technologies like USB or HDMI, a large part of existing peripheral devices (External storage, USB flash drive, CD/DVD drive, Printer, Mouse, Keyboard, DVB-T stick etc) can be connected or content can be transmitted to a TV or projector. WeTab therefore can be used as first device or Netbook alternative.
WeTab OS
WeTab OS is based on MeeGo technology - a state-of-the-art Linux stack conjointly developed by Intel and Nokia - with its own touch optimized and easy to use interface. It strongly believes in open source an
d supports - designed as open operating system and unlike closed systems – applications from multiple platforms and technologies, amongst others HTML5 and Adobe Flash –  for best and unrestricted web and computing experience, including true multitasking.
Experienced developers can fully exploit the capabilities offered by the system on their devices and extend these as required. The WeTab, however, is a device that can be operated intuitively by all users without any previous knowledge.
In addition, fully automated system updates running in the background provide the user with always up to date and secure system.
WeTab Apps
On WeTab several apps are already pre installed: WeTab Market, Web browser, File browser, Email, Calendar, Address book, eBook reader, Media gallery (photos and videos), Video player, Music player, Webcam, Maps, Open Office Text, Tables and Presentation, News, Weather and a large games package
All applications are installed automatically and either run natively on the system or in special layers. Te
chnologies underlying the applications range from Linux (Qt, GTK, KDE, Gnome), HTML5, Java, Adobe AIR and Adobe Flash to Android and completely web-based services.
WeTab Market
In order not to  promote ongoing islanding of appstores, numerous applications from
different platforms and technologies can be downloaded and installed from WeTab Market. Next to this as “meta store” designed store, open appstores such as Adobe AIR
Marketplace, Android PIT Market or Intel AppUp Center (upcoming) are integrated. The user is thus free to choose which application he wants to install from the various stores.
