But my mom and dad are always telling me that I shouldn't use my phone too much. They say there are some really bad things about using phones all the time. It's really important for kids to take breaks from their phones and tablets to rest their eyes. We should only use our devices for short periods and then look at something far away to relax our eyes. If our eyes keep hurting, we need to see an eye doctor. Taking care of our vision is super important!
Mobile Phones Can Disrupt Your Sleep
Another downside of mobile phones is that they can prevent you from getting proper sleep, which kids definitely need a lot of to grow and develop properly. The blue light from phone, tablet, and laptop screens can really mess up your body's sleep cycle.

So if you use your phone a lot before bedtime, your brain stays awake instead of starting to feel tired and ready for sleep. Lots of kids have trouble falling and staying asleep because they spend hours on their phones right before bedtime. They toss and turn and can't get good rest.
