    My Plan for the Bestest English Writing Contest Ever!
    Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm 8 years old. I really really love writing stories and poems and stuff. My teacher Mrs. Johnson says I'm a great writer for my age. That's why I had the cool idea to plan an English writing contest for all the high school kids in our town!
    I think writing contests are super fun. The kids get to use their creativity and imaginations to write awesome stories. And the winners get prizes like books, pens, notebooks and maybe even money! How neat is that? Getting rewards just for writing? Sign me up!
    Anyway, here are all my ideas for making this the bestest, most funest writing contest of all time:
    First, we need to pick a neat theme for the contest. Themes make the stories more exciting and give the writers a fun topic to explore with their words. I was thinking maybe the theme could be "Adventures in Candy Land" because what kid doesn't love candy? The writers could dream up delicious new candy lands and the crazy adventures kids could have there. Yummm!
    Or maybe the theme could be "Pets With Superpowers"? How hilarious would it be to read about a dog who could fly or a cat with laser vision? Kids' imaginations are just endless! Those superhero pet stories would definitely be page turners.
    Ooh or perhaps the theme should be "If I Ruled the World"? The writers could go wild pretending they were supreme rulers and make up all the awesome new laws and rules everyone would have to follow. No more bedtimes or vegetable-eating required? Yes please!
    Once we pick the super duper theme, we need to spread the word about the contest so lots and lots of high schoolers enter. We could make big posters and flyers to hang up all ar
ound the schools. With crayons and markers and glitter to make them eye-catching! Everybody loves glitter. We should also tell principals, teachers, parents, crossing guards - anyone who will listen!
    Social media is important too. We could make an Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, you name it to promote the contest. I'm too young for social media myself but apparently that's how you teenagers communicate these days? We want the writers to be able to like, share, retweet - whatever you crazy kids say.
    Now for the fun part - determining the prizes! In my humble opinion, the first prize should be cold hard cash. Maybe 500? No wait, 1000 even! Money is the best prize in the history of ever. But we should have other prizes too like fancy pens, beautiful journals, bestselling books, and more.
    Oooh maybe we could even give the winner a badillion dollars and a unicorn as a grand prize? unless?
    We'll need a group of judges to read all the contest entries too. I nominate my parents because they're very smart. And nice old Mrs. Jacobs from next door because she always has a nice compliment ready. Definitely not mean old Mr. Wilson though - he's too grumpy!
    The judges will look at how creative and descriptive the stories are. Did the writing transport them to a magical world of adventures? Did it make them laugh out loud? Those are the things that'll score points. Using proper grammar is important too I suppose. But what really matters is sparking emotions and firing up imaginations!
    Once all the entries are judged, we can have an awards ceremony to announce the winners and hand out those glorious prizes! We should make it really fancy with decorations, refreshments, maybe even a red carpet? oooooh. The writers can dress up, snap pics on the red carpet, and get their trophies or medals on a big stage. Just like actors at the Oscars!
    Man, this writing contest is gonna be epic. I'm getting excited just thinking about it! Pencils ready, writers? Let the adventures begin!
    That's my big grand plan for now. If any high schoolers are reading this and wanna help me bring it to life, come find me! Recess is the perfect time to discuss :)  Let's make this the hugest, most amazingest writing celebration this town has ever seen. WOO!

    Hi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I love writing stories and poems, and I have some really cool ideas for how to make the high school English writing competition the BEST one ever! The teachers asked me to help plan it since I'm such a writing expert. Here's what I think we should do:
    First, we need an awesome NAME for the contest. How about the "Mega Awesome Writing Extravaganza" or the "Words Are Cool Writing Showdown"? Those get me excited just saying them!
