    My Awesome Room
    Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 8 years old. I absolutely love my bedroom - it's my favorite place in our whole house! Let me tell you all about it.
    First of all, my room is really big. It used to be the master bedroom before my parents turned it into my room when I was a baby. I have so much space to play and all my toys fit nicely. Against one wall is my really tall bookshelf that holds all my books. I love to read so I have hundreds of books up there! My shelves are kind of messy though because I'm not so great at keeping them neat.
    Next to my bookshelf is my desk where I do my homework. It's a pretty plain desk but I've
decorated it with stickers, drawings I've made, and pictures of my friends and family. Above my desk hangs a big corkboard that's completely covered in photos, drawings, cards from my birthday parties, and other stuff I've collected over the years.
    My absolute favorite part of my room is my bed! It's a twin size but it feels like a hugely comfy cloud when I'm cuddled up in it. The bedspread has rockets, planets, and stars all over it because I absolutely love anything to do with outer space. Surrounding my bed are these really cool glow-in-the-dark star stickers that make it look like I'm sleeping under the night sky. Underneath my bed I have tons of stuffed animals stored away.
    Over in the corner is my closet which is basically a gigantic mess! It's packed full of clothes, toys, board games, and just lots of random stuff I've collected over the years. My mom is always telling me to clean it out but I can never bring myself to get rid of anything! Next to my closet is a big chest where I keep all my arts and crafts supplies like crayons, paints, colored pencils, and playdough.
    Another awesome part of my room is the giant window with a window seat underneath it.
I love lounging on the window seat reading books or just staring out the window watching the trees and birds outside. My parents put some thick cushions on the window seat to make it extra comfy.
    My walls are painted a pretty light blue color that I picked out myself a few years ago. I used to have wallpaper with teddy bears on it when I was little but I'm way too old for that stuff now! Decorating my walls are countless posters, drawings, photos, and random things I've hung up over the years. My favorites are the glow-in-the-dark stars stuck to the ceiling above my bed.
    I also have a TV mounted to one wall across from my bed. I have a bunch of video games hooked up to it like my Nintendo Switch. Underneath the TV is a big beanbag chair that I love lounging in when I'm playing games or watching movies.
    Overall my room is just an awesome space that is perfectly catered to me and all my interests. It's the one place where I can close my door, shut out the rest of the world, and just be myself surrounded by all my favorite things. I love having friends over because they'
re always amazed by my huge colorful room. Even though I'm getting older, I never want to leave this room! It's my own personal kingdom.

    My Awesome Room
    Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm going to tell you all about my super cool room. Get ready because there's a lot of awesome stuff in there!
    First off, my room is painted bright blue which is my favorite color. It reminds me of the sky on a nice sunny day. The ceiling is white and I have glow-in-the-dark star stickers up there that glow really bright at night. It's like having my very own night sky!
    My bed is so much fun. It has a really high frame made of wood that looks kind of like a fort. I can sit up there and read comics or play on my tablet. The mattress is nice and squishy and the bedspread has race cars all over it. I love race cars! Sometimes I pretend I'm a famous race car driver speeding around the curves.
    Next to my bed, I have a bignight stand with a really bright lamp on it that has animals carved into the base. I use that lamp to read at night before I go to sleep. The night stand also has a basket fill of my favorite books like the Dogman and Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.
    On the other side of my room, I have a giant toy box overflowing with so many awesome toys. I have action figures, Legos, cars and trucks, stuffed animals, board games, balls, and a billion other toys. Whenever I get bored, I can just dive into my toy box and find something fun to play with. Just yesterday, I took out my bucket of little green army men and set up an epic battle scene on my floor. Those poor guys never knew what hit them when the T-Rex attack started!
