    My Life With My Family: Then and Now
    Family is everything to me. My parents and little brother mean the world to me. We've been through so much together over the years. Our life has changed a lot since I was a little kid, but the love we have for each other has never changed.
    When I was really little, like 3 or 4 years old, we lived in a tiny apartment in the city. I don't remember too much about it, but I remember always hearing cars and people outside no matter what time it was. My parents told me we didn't have a lot of money back then an
d they were working really hard to give me and my brother a good life.
    My dad had a job as a clerk at a grocery store, working long hours. My mom took care of me and my brother during the day and also had a part-time job at night cleaning office buildings. Those few years were really tough on them, but they did everything they could to provide for us.
    I remember my dad coming home after his late-night shift absolutely exhausted. But he would still make time before going to sleep to read me bedtime stories and tuck me in. My mom was always there for me too, despite being so tired from working herself. She'd make us snacks, help me with my homework from preschool, and play games with me and my brother. We didn't have much, but we had each other.
    When I was around 5, we moved out of that little apartment to a rented house in the suburbs. I was so excited because the house had a backyard for me and my brother to play in!
