    My Favorite Traditional Festival
    Spring Festival is my absolute favorite traditional festival! I look forward to it every year. There are so many fun activities and delicious foods to enjoy during this special celebration.
    One of the most exciting parts is getting new clothes and shoes to wear for the new year.
My mom always takes me shopping and lets me pick out a new outfit. I love putting on my new clothes and showing them off to my family. Wearing new clothes is supposed to bring good luck for the coming year.
    Another tradition I really enjoy is making dumplings with my grandma. We sit around the table and she shows me how to carefully fold the dough over the filling.     Hooray, it's Chinese New Year again! Chinese New Year is my most favorite traditional holiday ever. I always look forward to it because it means a long school break, getting red envelopes with money, eating lots of delicious foods, and having fun with my family. Let me tell you all about the amazing things we do to celebrate Chinese New Year!
    First, we have to clean the whole house from top to bottom. My mom says this sweeps away any bad luck from the old year so we can start fresh in the new year. I don't really like cleaning, but I help out because I know it's important. After everything is spick and span, my mom buys a lot of fresh flowers, fruits, and other decorations for the house. She says these symbolize wealth, prosperity, and luck. I especially love the bright red lanterns we hang up everywhere!
