My Favorite Seasons, Activities, Holidays, and Months
Hi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 5th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today, I'm going to tell you all about my favorite seasons, activities, holidays, and months of the year. Get ready for a fun ride!
Let's start with the seasons. My absolute favorite season is summer! I love how warm and sunny it is, and how school is out for a few months. During the summer, my family and I usually go on a big vacation. Last year, we went to the beach for a week an

My Favorite Seasons, Activities, Holidays and Months
One of the best things about living where I do is that we get to experience all four seasons. Each season brings its own special activities, holidays and fun things to look forward to. I'm going to tell you about my favorite parts of the different seasons and the months and holidays I love the most.
Fall is probably my favorite season overall. I love the cooler temperatures after the hot summer. I love seeing the leaves change colors - the brilliant reds, oranges and yellows are so pretty. My favorite activity in fall is jumping into big piles of fallen leaves. My friends and I spend hours every weekend raking leaves into massive piles in our yards just so we can take running jumps and disappear completely under the crunchy leaves. We even have contests to see who can make the biggest splash!
The day after Halloween is also lots of fun. It's when we get to have candy for breakfast without our parents saying anything! We bring our buckets of candy to school and at snack time it's like a crazy candy buffet as we all trade treats back and forth. By the end of the day we've pretty much eaten most of our stashes already. Thanksgiving in November is an
other highlight, with its delicious turkey dinner and pumpkin pie. But what I love most is the long weekend we get off from school to just relax and sleep in.
Winter is a magical season in so many ways. The first snowfall of the year is always breathtaking as the世界suddenly becomes quiet and blanketed in white. My friends and I spend hours outside having epic snowball fights and making awesome snow forts. We try to build the craziest snow sculptures we can think of - funny animals, aliens, robots and more. When it gets bitterly cold, we go sledding down the biggest hills we can find, sailing through the air for a few glorious seconds before crashing into big soft mounds of snow.
I love Christmas vacation and the entire two weeks off from school for winter break. We have snowball wars with the neighborhood kids and go sledding every day until we're utterly exhausted. At night, we cozy up by the fireplace drinking hot cocoa and watching movies wrapped in blankets. On New Year's Eve we struggle to make it until midnight to watch the ball drop and share a special toast of sparkling cider with our parents.
When January and February roll around, winter starts to feel a little long and I get anxiou
s for spring. However, those snowy days are perfect for indoor activities like building Lego models, playing video games and reading longer chapter books under a cozy blanket. Soon enough, the first little hints of spring warmth start appearing.
Spring brings March and April, which are two of my favorite months. I love the warmer temperatures and watching the snow melt away to reveal green grass and sprouts of colorful spring flowers like crocuses, daffodils and tulips. One of my favorite seasonal events is the first time it's warm enough to bring out the gardening tools and get dirty helping my parents pull weeds and get our flower and vegetable gardens ready for planting.
April brings spring break, another coveted week off from school that my friends and I take full advantage of. As the snow melts, we break out our bicycles that have been stuck in the garage all winter and race around the neighborhood for hours, breathing in that fresh spring air. We fly kites, play catch and just soak up as much time outdoors as we possibly can.
Easter Sunday is always a big spring highlight too. My family has an Easter egg hunt every year in our backyard. For weeks beforehand, my parents hide money, small toys and of course candy in toy

spring怎么读啊 The Seasons, Holidays and Months of the Year
The year is full of different seasons, holidays, and months that make it fun and interesting. Each season brings different weather and activities we can do. The holidays give us special days to celebrate with family and friends. And the months go by one after another, each with its own special events and meanings. Let me tell you all about the seasons, holidays, and months we have throughout the year!
Winter is the first season I want to talk about. It comes at the end of the year, starting in December. Winter means cold weather and sometimes snow and ice. But that's what makes it so much fun! When it snows, my friends and I can go sledding down the big hills i
n the park near my house. We have epic snowball fights and try to build the biggest snowmen ever. After we're done playing outside, we go inside and warm up with hot chocolate loaded with mini-marshmallows. Mmm, it's so delicious!
