    My Favorite Season is Spring!
    Spring is the best season ever! It's way better than winter when everything is all cold and frozen. In the spring, the world starts to wake up from its long sleep. Yay, no more shivery cold days!
    The first thing I love about spring is all the pretty flowers that bloom. My favorite flowers are tulips. They're like bright cups reaching up to catch the warm spring sunshine. Tulips come in so many fun colors - red, yellow, purple, and more! I also love seeing the trees get their green leaves back after being naked and bare all winter long. The grass gets greener too, and it's so nice to run and play outside in the fresh spring air.
    Another great thing about spring is watching all the baby animals being born. It's so cute to see the tiny lambs and calves in the fields, wobbling around on their spindly legs as they try to keep up with their mamas. Down at the pond, the ducklings and goslings hatch and paddle along behind their parents. Even in the backyard, you can find robin's nests with bright blue eggs waiting to become fuzzy baby birds. New life is everywhere you look in springtime!
    Of course, my absolutely favorite part of spring is the fun holidays! First there's Easter with its yummy chocolates, jelly beans, and marshmallow Peeps. I love decorating hard boiled eggs in crazy designs and having an egg hunt in the backyard. Finding all those hidden eggs tucked away is so exciting! Easter dresses and bonnets are fun to wear too. Then there's Mother's Day in May, when I make a special card and gift for my amazing mom to show her how much I love her.
    The weather in spring is amazing, not too hot and not too cold. It's perfect temps for playing outside - having picnics, flying kites, and just running around soaking up the warm
sunshine. No more being bundled up in heavy jackets and boots! After the long winter, it feels so good to shed those layers and feel the gentle breezes and occasional spring showers on my skin. I don't even mind getting a little muddy because spring mud means winter is over!
    Even though spring is soggy with April showers, it's still my number one favorite season. The rain helps wake up all the plants and flowers. Plus, it makes everything smell so fresh and earthy. When the storms roll in with booming thunder and lightning zapping across the sky, I feel alive and excited. As long as I'm safely inside, storms are exhilarating to watch. After the storm passes, the world seems renewed and recharged.
    I wish spring could last forever instead of changing to hot summer. But I'll soak up every second of this wonderful, blossoming season while I can. Spinning with my arms wide open, breathing in the sweet floral air, and smiling up at the warm sun on my face - that's what spring is all about! Get outside and celebrate this amazing time of awakenings and new beginnings. Spring is simply the best!

    My Favorite Season is Summer
    Summer is the best season of the year! There are so many fun things to do when it's warm outside. I love summer more than any other season. Let me tell you why summer is awesome!
    First of all, during summer there is no school! That means I get to sleep in late every morning instead of having to wake up early. No more alarms going off at 6 AM. I get three whole months off from homework, tests, quizzes, and teachers nagging me about this and that. Summer vacation is the greatest!
    With all that free time, I get to do so many fun activities in the summer that I can't do during the school year. I love going swimming at the pool or the beach. Splashing around in cool water is so refreshing on those hot summer days. My friends and I have epic water balloon fights that last for hours. We run around outside playing games like tag, hide and s
eek, and capture the flag. We ride our bikes all around the neighborhood. In the evenings, we often have backyard campouts and bonfires, roasting marshmallows and telling scary stories. So much fun!
    Another great thing about summer is that it stays light out really late. The sun doesn't go down until after 8 PM! That means I have more time to play outside after dinner instead of having to go inside when it gets dark early like in winter. My parents don't make me come in until fireflies start blinking in the yard. Magic!
    Summer is also the best season for eating lots of yummy treats. Juicy watermelon, ripe strawberries, sweet corn on the cob, triple-scoop ice cream cones, popsicles, s'mores, he list goes on and on. My birthday is in July, so I always get to have a fun summer-themed party with a cold treats and games outside. Birthdays are way better in summer than winter!
