The topic of this unit is spending time with friends. The language goals of this unit are talking about ownership and how to make suggestions. The target language “Do you have a soccer ball?” is a general question. it is answered with “Yes, I do.”soccer ball or “No, I don’t.” In the first period, students can learn names of sports and the target language, Yes/No questions and short answers. Students can get a lot of listening and oral practice. All the activities can raise students’ learning interest, the activities are designed to improve students’ listening and speaking skills.

1. Language Objectives
(1) Key vocabulary: do (does), have, tennis, ball, ping-pong, bat, soccer, soccer ball, basketball.
(2) Target language:
---Do you have a baseball?    ---Yes, I do. No, I don't.
2. Ability Objectives
Students can freely talk about the things they own.
(1) To develop the students' ability of listening and speaking,
(2) To train the students' ability of communication and cooperation.
3. Moral Objectives
(1) To make the students be interested in good cooperation and competition.
(2) To make the students love sports, love life.

The students are of grade7.  In this unit, students will learn to talk about sports. By the end of this lesson, students should be able to  1. Describe sports. Ss may apply them in the real communication. Improve their listening ability as well.  2. Understand and use some nouns about sports as soccer ball, volleyball, ping-pong ball, basketball

Learn the balls together. Pay attention to the spelling form of the words. Learn the key structures.
2.Show some pictures of ball games to revise the balls
Learn again. say out the balls
Talk about the sports things that you have and don’t have.
