摘要：There are provided a character string display system, a character string display method, and a program capable of deciding a display time according to a character string display time in the past so as to decide the display time according to the character string read speed of a user who reads the character string. The character string display system includes: a display time decision unit (44) for deciding a display time of a display character string according to a reference value; a display unit (46) for displaying a display character string for a display time decided by the display time decision unit (44); an operation unit (50) for detecting a predetermined operation by a user while the display unit (46) displays the display character string; and a reference value modification unit (54) for increasing or decreasing the display time for displaying the display character by the display unit (46) when the operation unit (50) detects an operation by the user, and modifying the reference value according to the increase or decrease of the time for displaying the display character string.
