摘要：With a view to generate a code of which the user can easily make a copy even though information is encoded, which employs characters which allows the user to convey the encoded contents thereof to others and which can be read at high speeds by a reading apparatus such as a scanner, there is provided a character string symbol generation system for generating a character string symbol which is made up of a plurality of rows of character strings which comprises a conversion means for generating a character string from numerical information, a mark character inserting means for inserting corner mark characters of which are inserted in a first and last position and in predetermined intermediate positions of a character string generated by the conversion means, a character string dividing means for dividing the character string into which the corner mark characters are inserted by the mark character inserting means into a plurality of character strings, and generating a character string symbol for aligning the character strings which are divided by the character string dividing means into a square formation, so as to generate a character string symbol in which the corner mark
characters are disposed in four corners of the square formation of the character strings.
