初中英语高频考点词汇“发生” take place和happen的用法
一.区别：
happen 一般强调某事偶然发生。
take place指非偶然性事件的“发生”，有某种原因或事先的安排。
如：
Great changes have taken place in Wenchuan during the past few years
二.happen基本用法
1.)sth.+ happen+地点/时间
某地/某时发生了某事
An accident happened in that street
2.)sth. happen to sb.
某人出了某事(常指不好的事)
An accident happened to her this morning
3.)sb. happen to do sth.
某人碰巧做某事
I happened to meet a boss at the airport last year.
4.)It happens/ happened that.
碰巧或怡巧发生某事
(that从句主语是人时，可与sb+ happen to do sth.互换)
It happened that you were out when I called on you last night. =You happened to be out when I called on you last night.
三.要点提示
1.)happen为不及物动词，不能用于被动语态。
这个故事发生在去年。
错：The story was happened last year.
对：The story happened last year.
2 .)happen为短暂性动词，不能与表示一段时间的状语连用。
这事发生一年了。
错：This happened for one year.
对：This happened one year ago.

3.lose和miss的区别用法
（1）lose
丢失后再也无法回：
The man lost his leg in the war.
被自己搞丢的:
I lost my wallet.
（2）miss
发觉没有(东西不在原来的位置)，有希望回
She missed her child in the street
She did not miss her necklace until she
arrived home
(3)lose和miss在做“失踪”，形容词用时一个lost一个missing，需要注意
