摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a large amount of information without raising a cost, by lowering the resolution of encoded data to be memory-received, when the capacity of a memory area for reception inside the memory area for storing the image data of a bit map form becomes little. SOLUTION: An image memory 10 is provided with a capacity capable of recording images for one page at a highest resolution and is usable not only as a memory for recording but also as the memory for communication. Then, the received image data are encoded by a system decided by a communication control procedure, decoded in a decoding part 14, developed into bit images by the unit of one page and written in the image memory 10. At the time of memory reception, the received encoded data are stored in a part of the image memory 10, the resolution is selected so as to perform recording corresponding to the free capacity of the memory, bit development is performed and they are printed by a page printer 15. In this case, when the memory capacity becomes little, the resolution of the encoded data to be received is lowered.
