摘要：PURPOSE:To prevent eccentric seating of a valve head and a valve seat by setting the central axis of a valve spring at the valve closing time orthogonal to its lower end surface, in the valve spring in which a valve main body is enforced in the direction of closing the valve through a retainer. CONSTITUTION:A valve stem 2 of an intake valve 11 is installed slidable inside a stem guide 5 which is fixed to a cylinder head 15. Between a retainer 7 geared to a groove 4 formed at the end of the valve stem 2, and a spring seat 25 formed at the cylinder head 15, a valve spring 8 is placed in the contructed condition. In this case, the valve spring 8 makes its center axis inclined to the additional winding side of the spring seat 25 when no load in imposed. On the other hand, when a load is imposed, the valve spring 8 is deformed around the additional winding as the fulcrum, and the center axis is displaced to compose the valve spring erected.
