VPI&&VCI
VP(Virtual Path) and VC(Virtual Channel) are provide in the ATM layer.VP is the collectivity of the VCs,and exchanges the message by the VP.the VP and VC are accordingly identified with VP identifier and VC Identifier.So one virtual channle is decided by the port id、VPI and VCI. The relatioship is as follows.

From a view of  the input and output of the DSLAM:
Logical Port: bridge port
Physical Port: real physical port for DSLAM,namely dsl port
From a view of  the work protocol:
Logical Port:not just  bridge port.Atm port, aal5 port ,eoa port and aggr port are included
Physical Port: real physical port for DSLAM,namely dsl port

What is the relationship among DSL port ,the PVC and the bridge port ?
Usually,the relationship is one-to-one mapping between the pvc and bridge port ,but sometimes it is not true. Standard:
RFC1483:EOA
RFC1577:IPOA
RFC2364:PPPOA
Some applications are presented in the following sections.
Application(1)--one-to-one mapping The relationship between the PVC and bridge port is one to
one mapping .
The Maxinum pvc num for each DSL port is 8 : one  PVC applies for management service(CPE management) and the others apply for the data service.
The pkt is encapsulated by AAL5 from the ATM layer from the AAL5 layer ,and by RFC1483 from the
AAL5 layer to the EOA layer.
An example for DSL-0 is shown in the following section.
